Grande was announced as part of the Season 13 cast alongside returning franchise veterans including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Angela Bassett when FX released a first look at the season. The role would have marked her debut in the "AHS" franchise and a reunion with creator Ryan Murphy following her 2015 appearance in "Scream Queens."
