A Murder Mystery That Got Out of Hand
When the owner of a luxury Caribbean resort appears to die from a poisoned banana during a grand-reopening investor pitch, his estranged twin traps a dysfunctional island staff and a hostile investor in a spiraling investigation that mutates into bird nests, missing bodies, giant spiders, AI sabotage, criminal flashbacks, and catacombs beneath the beach.

Open Mysteries
Season 1 answered some things and buried many more. These are the questions going into Season 2.
Conrad died from what appeared to be a poisoned banana. Nobody confessed. Nobody was cleared. The resort had access, motive, and incompetence enough for any of them to have done it — accidentally or deliberately.
● CRITICALConrad's body was placed in Blathers' medical bay in Episode 1. In Episode 2 it was gone. The only lead was a detached rectal tracker found in the jungle, without Conrad attached.
● CRITICALThe catacombs beneath the beach contain a spider chamber, a rotten banana slaughterhouse, a monkey chamber, a stone-creating statue, and a pyramid with a throne. This system predates or postdates the resort and has no official explanation.
● DEEP MYSTERYWaylan sat on the golden banana throne and triggered a massive earthquake. Everyone emerged on the beach with no memory of returning. What the throne actually is, what the earthquake did, and what Waylan experienced are all unknown.
● CRITICALThe hatch appeared during the burial attempt, led to the catacombs, disappeared after the group returned, and reappeared after the volcanic eruption at the end of Season 1. It seems responsive to something.
● HIGH PRIORITYMyles and Conrad built HAL together. HAL malfunctioned immediately upon activation, attempted to sell the resort, and trapped Blathers. Whether the malfunction was intentional and what HAL has been quietly collecting are unknown.
● HIGH PRIORITYA bill of sale for the entire resort was found in Conrad's bedroom. The buyer, the price, and Conrad's reason for selling are all unknown. This may be connected to why he contacted Julian and Diego before his death.
● HIGH PRIORITYDuring the HAL episode, a woman resembling Vicky Mango — one of Diego's bank robbery crew — appeared at the bar, stole items, and disappeared. Whether this was the real Vicky Mango, a HAL projection, or something else has not been addressed.
● DEEP MYSTERYBlathers is connected to dolphin LSD experiments, the giant birds resembling resort staff, Darren the banana spider, and the island's general animal chaos. Whether he created these things intentionally or lost control is unresolved.
● DEEP MYSTERYConrad reached out to both his estranged twin and a criminal fugitive shortly before his death. What he asked them to protect — and why these two specific people — has not been explained.
● HIGH PRIORITYA volcano erupted at the end of Episode 14, coinciding with the hatch's reappearance. Whether the catacombs, the throne, HAL, Blathers' experiments, or something older is responsible for the island's growing instability is unknown.
● DEEP MYSTERYBlathers spent the finale in a coma. When and if he recovers, he may hold significant information about the island's experiments, the catacomb system, or Cornelius Jizzleberry's arrangement with the admiral.
● HIGH PRIORITYThe admiral sent Blathers to the island not as punishment but as an assignment. Blathers is still conducting experiments for him. The admiral's name is never given. What he wants from the island, from the experiments, or from the Jizzleberry family's arrangement with the military is unknown. His connection to the catacomb system, the throne, and the island's other horrors has not been established or ruled out.
● HIGH PRIORITYRizzly Adams was Blathers' mentor at the navy university, encouraged his dolphin-LSD experiments, and then told the admiral about Blathers' affair with his wife. He has not appeared in the present-day timeline. Whether Adams is connected to the admiral's ongoing agenda, to the island, or to something else entirely is entirely open.
● DEEPAt the end of the New York heist, Diego received Conrad's voicemail asking for help, then was struck from behind with a baseball bat by an unseen attacker. He woke up in a tree on the island. Who hit him, how he was transported to the island, and whether the bat and the voicemail are connected to the same person are all unresolved.
● HIGH PRIORITYConrad called Diego directly during the heist — not just to warn him, but to ask for Diego's specific skills. This implies a prior relationship the show has not explained. Conrad also contacted Julian before his death. The nature of Conrad's network — why a resort owner knew a career criminal well enough to call him mid-robbery — is one of the most unresolved questions of Season 1.
● CRITICALThe Timeline
The Timeline has been folded into the Family Bible — each chapter now opens to both the era's story and its chronology of events.
